Village Rockstars Is India’s Official Entry To Oscars. Mahanati & Rangasthalam Missed The Oscar. The Film Federation of India announced India's official entry in the Best Foreign Film category at the 91st Oscar Awards. Village Rockstars beat 27 other Indian movies to achieve the Oscar nomination. While the list was dominated by a large number of Hindi films, including the big-budget films like Padmaavat, Pad Man and Raazi etc, And Tollywood blockbusters like Mahanati and Rangasthalam, missed the Oscar race.
