We are the grade 8s from Hartman Public School in Aurora, Ontario. This project combined both grade 8 classes at our school to create a wonderful piece in our final year together. There were no auditions. Every student selected an instrument to play and worked hard to learn their part and bring it together in this complicated version of ‘Treat You Better’, arranged by our music teacher, Mr. Wallace. We used almost every instrument we have at our school, including xylophones, glockenspiels, drums, ukuleles and even boomwhackers! We love the syncopated rhythm of this great pop song, which lends itself so beautifully to percussion-based instruments. Hope you enjoy it!

Rising Hearts is a Rock Band from Chinguacousy Secondary School. Chinguacousy is working to grow their music program with instrumental music classes, extracurricular ensembles and this year will be doing their first musical in almost a decade. This arrangement was created by the students. Our band implements different voices and styles into our music, and we all have different levels of experience. We work as one to help further each other's musical skills. What makes our band special is that we are able to create something from nothing. Inspiration and passion is the key to our band's success.

Dr. Annie B. Jamieson is home to Canada’s largest school strings orchestra program. 282 of Jamieson’s students learn to play violin, cello or bass at our school! The Jamieson Pops Orchestra is an extra-curricular group of 69 keen musicians who specialize in learning and performing video game music, tv themes and pop music. We are fortunate to be well supported by a wonderful group of parent volunteers, ee are grateful to the CBC for giving us this opportunity to share our music with the rest of Canada and we are proud to represent Vancouver, B.C.!

Introducing the brand new Perth Road Public School choir! We are made up of 50 really cool kids who love music! In addition to singing, you might even say we are “cut right out of the Canadian Shield”! We play outside, build forts, fish, hunt, ride 4 wheelers, swim in lakes and run wild in the forests. “Lost Boy” is just the perfect song for us and we sing it with HEART!
