The Reigate School of Ballet and Commercial Dance provides top quality training in dance and performing arts for children in Reigate, Redhill and Dorking, led by professional dancer / ballerina and West End performer, Joanne Evans.
We provide dance lessons for beginners from the ages of 18 months to adult, including ballet fitness classes and body conditioning. Our dance school has dance studios all over Reigate and Redhill and also in Donyngs Redhill and Fithub Reigate. We truly believe that dance is accessible to all children, and it has been the moto of the school since it was established in 1963.
We have an extensive ever-evolving dance programme, led by highly trained dance teachers and most with professional dance and performing experience in theatre, ballet, commercial street dance and hip-hop and tap. They also have much TV and events experience and all our teachers can pass on their education and performing experience to your children. With 3 highly trained Licentiate dance teachers and one ballet examiner with the I.S.T.D. we have the knowledge, experience and breadth of classes to offer to your children.
Our BALLET teachers between them have trained at the famous Royal Ballet School, one ballet examiner and many Licentiate trained teachers. With our reputation and experience, our dance school is the number one dance academy for ballet training in the area.
Our TAP teachers have Licentiate training and one has represented England in the World Tap championships, performing in Tap Attack on SKy One's 'Got to Dance'. Our lessons offer a fresh approach to tap classes.
STREET DANCE & HIP-HOP - we offer quality high-brow and current training in these classes. Our early ages start with co-ordinated movement in this style, and progresses with state of the art teaching for our older groups. These classes are led by a professional street dancer who regularlt performs in streetdance events such as the iTunes festivals. She has also toured three times as a supporting act with the famous all-male group 'Diversity'. Current, professional and fun training!
CONTEMPORARY and LYRICAL dance classes are led by experienced teachers in this field, and these styles prove very popular with both younger and older age-groups.
Our MUSICAL THEATRE classes are held in Reigate and feature 3 West-End performers teaching each week alongside professional musical directors and singing teachers. The most affordable training in theatre arts, led by real professionals in this field.
Finally, our ADULT DANCE classes offer dance lessons for beginners, and these provide fitness classes through the medium of dance and ballet. Held in Reigate and the fithub gym, these prove to be a popular form of fitness for both beginners and our other intermediate class for those who have danced before.
Both RSB Dance and the Reigate School of Ballet & Commercial Dance provide all round dance training for children and adults in a welcoming and nurturing environment. We take time to know your children and develop their skills at a pace they feel comfortable. We have dance lessons for those who simply want to dance as a hobby once a week and also a huge development programme for those who want to develop further.
